How Coaching Works

Kye’s coaching is forward looking, a creative and practical approach to focus on what you want to achieve on your journey and to plan realistic steps to get there. This approach is goal-centered and action-oriented, with trust that you have the knowledge and strength to reach your goals.

To get started, I offer a Free Introductory Session so we can discuss how I could be helpful to you. We can schedule sessions by Zoom, in person or by phone. You may choose to meet once or twice, or choose an ongoing coaching relationship.

Coaching is not therapy — looking back to your family story or dealing with mental health challenges – although we may touch on those things. Nor is it giving advice about what you should do – there is no shortage of information or advice out there. Instead, I ask insightful questions, with kindness and compassion, and provide support for you to move forward with new ways of thinking and acting on your journey.

  • I can guide you through major transitions in life and help to make those changes easier with support, warmth and clarity.
  • I provide a safe place — with focused presence, respect and curiosity — to help you see what you want more clearly and identify your next steps to get there.
  • I can help you build effective communication skills, increase your self-confidence, and identify what, if anything, may be getting in your way.
  • I will work with you evaluate the steps you can take to reach a particular goal, then help you decide how — and whether — to take those steps in the most effective and rewarding ways.
  • I will also serve as your motivator, strategist and accountability partner.

As a member of the International Coaching Federation, I adhere to their Code of Ethics which includes professional responsibilities to my clients, strict confidentiality, and ongoing continuing education.
